Friends from Tampa
Last night we made new friends. Several new friends. Mickey and Charlie were to gems of gentlemen who live on the streets of Vegas. A burger in their hand and a burger in their pocket, they left our conversations happy men.
The card flickers, always anticipating Thursday nights, were so grateful for burgers and waters as always. It was very cool to ask a group of about 10 if they wanted a Bible, and all of them assured us they had already received one. What an honor to give Spanish Bibles to people who either can't afford it, or don't want to spend the little money they do have on a Bible.
And the Strip Pics. Strip Pics is our newest outreach where we offer free pictures with people in front of the Bellagio. You can view those pictures here: http://stripchurch.com/blogs/thestrip/strippics.html. Rex, dressed up as Santa, made people smile, and we were ble to do something fun for people on the Strip.
And Toby the Clown. While he wasn't with us on the Strip, we couldn't help but learn a lot from him. Toby the Clown didn't let a person get by him without offering them a hat made out of balloons. He made people smile and had a contagious entusiasm about him. What a guy...
We're doing it! The Strip is undeniably being made a better place, one interaction at a time.
The staff here at Harbor loves what you guys are doing! Continue to be encouraged and going where few have the courage or ability to go!
