The Least of These…
We, once again, had a chance to visit the tunnels under Las Vegas last week. It’s hard to believe that people live beneath the Strip. Literally 20 feet below billions of dollars of construction and millions being won and lost daily in the casinos, there’s a world of darkness and decay.
We met Iron for the second time. He’s a former ironworker (his name) who moved to Las Vegas to start a business. His idea failed and he had no way home. When he walks into the sunshine, the first thing you notice about Iron is his striking blue eyes. He’s extremely polite and soft-spoken and says one of the things he misses most is fishing. “Not a lot of fishin’ holes in Las Vegas, you know.”
I think we are going to be friends. And we’re planning a fishing trip…
tell us more. how do we get in? i'd like to live there...
