Where Are You From?

Last night was not just another Strip Outreach for the Strip Church Team and Volunteers, in fact it never is!  Every time we open those bus doors and offer a free ride to your chosen destination on the strip people are either disturb or jump on like they won the lottery; and last night was no exception. We had a full bus all night and it was the place to be; there were people from all over the country and even world.  It is an awesome thing to lend a hand to people through a free ride and also an ear for those few minutes you have with each other.  Last night a businessman from Mexico shared the growing concern with kidnapping in his city.  He story is real; he faces this reality daily and fears for his kids, asking for prayer was his request as he left the bus.  Another man shared with a heavy heart the recent bitter end of a marriage.  His voice was harsh at first and then he became more reflective by the time we got him to his destination.  The hope is that our time with him would lead to positive things, rather than the encouraged recklessness of vegas.   At the end of the night it became clear that the desire to go bless others had turned into them having blessed us and we are equally as thankful for those conversations and moments, even if it is just on a bus in the middle of sin city!
